New Zealand Music Artist and Tui award winner Sara-Jane continues to make waves in the music industry having just returned from China performing for the mayor of Shanghai at the World Expo's Samoa day (08/2010). Sara-Jane was invited to join the New Zealand Pacific delegation to the World Expo networking with various businesses in China to explore the Chinese export market. 2010 has also seen the successful graduation of her honours degree in Ethnomusicology researching the impacts of urban life for Pacific music and musicians in New Zealand.
A well known and respected musician throughout New Zealand and the Pacific, Sara-Jane sets the standard for Contemporary Pacific Female Artists. Her accolades include Best Pacific Artist (2005) NZ Pacific Music Awards, and Best Pacific Album (2004) at the New Zealand Music Awards and (2004) Hawaiian Music Awards.
As an entertainer, she defines quality and professionalism with performances in front of many dignitaries, sports personalities and government officials. A special highlight includes performing for international Hollywood celebrity THE ROCK (Dwayne Johnson) (07/04).
Having released three albums and featured on numerous compilations, Sara-Jane has travelled extensively internationally sharing and educating the new Pacific Pop phenomenon and is also a proficient Jazz musician with performances at the Sydney International Jazz festival, and the acclaimed Monterey Jazz Festival (USA) under her belt.
Her entertainment company "Sara-Jane Ltd" has been established for the last 5 years providing professional Pacific & Jazz entertainment and consultancy in the area of entertainment law, music and event management and the development of business plans in the creative industry.
She has experience in the TV and media industry through contracts with Television New Zealand as Production Manager for current affairs shows Sunday, 20/20 and Fair Go(2006), and youth shows presenting "Polyfest" and "Smokefree Rockquest". Sara-Jane Ltd also provides contracted services for project management internationally, nationally and with local community groups.
Sara-Jane is a multi talented entertainer, producer, director and project manger known as the quintessential Pacific diva of our time.
