Gospel/ Church Music

With 25 years experience in the field of church music, Sara-Jane is well established within this genre.

Recently she worked a 3 year contract as a musical director for one of the biggest churches in New Zealand. Her responsibilities included indentifying and developing musical talents and abilities; Overseeing 100+ creative people from Music-Dance, Drama –Sound; and coordinating musical contributions and big event productions at Easter and Christmas.

Her church music ranges from the gospel full ‘black’ sound, to quiet and contemplative worship music. 2009 saw the release of the album Reflections! Reflections a collection of favourite hymns with a contemporary twist fusing classical, jazz, soul and gospel to great songs of the past.  It is a unique album which draws the listener to ponder on values and principals in life.

Sara-Jane has also travelled internationally in the church music scene meeting up with UK based singer/worship leader Tim Hughes, attending the Alpha Asia Pacific conference in Singapore, and teaching seminars on music and worship in Papa New Guinea.
